The world's largest Buddhist temple, Borobudur is a massive Mahayana Buddhist monument built during the Sailendra Dynasty. It consists of nine stacked platforms, six square and three circular, topped by a central dome, decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues.

Prambanan (Buddhist Temples)

While primarily Hindu, the Prambanan complex includes significant Buddhist temples — Sewu, Plaosan, and Lumbung. Candi Sewu alone contains 249 temples, making it the second-largest Buddhist temple complex in Java after Borobudur.
